After watching the Jurassic World Super Bowl ad over and over again, there's no possible way I could be more excited for the long-awaited next installment of the Jurassic Park series. Or is there?
Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, and Universal Partnerships released the first trailer for LEGO Jurassic World, the first videogame where you will be able to relive and experience all four Jurassic films. Well, it's more of a teaser — not really showing any gameplay, but instead highlighting a rather cute T-REX roaring. And, of course, we get a look at that signature LEGO humor we're used to seeing from TT Games. I personally love how they reference the water cup, an iconic bit from the first Jurassic film.
LEGO Jurassic World features the storylines of all four films, Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, as well as the highly anticipated Jurassic World, which hits theaters June 12, 2015. The stories and some of the films' iconic scenes and action sequences have been reimagined in LEGO form and are told in TT Games' classic LEGO humor. As far as gameplay in concerned, you'll be able to collect precious amber, which contains dinosaur DNA to create and customize pieces. And, for the first time ever in a LEGO game, you'll be able to play as ACTUAL LEGO dinosaurs, including the ones seen in the the Jurassic film series. I got dibs on the raptors.
LEGO Jurassic World doesn't yet have a release date, but is expected to arrive alongside the film in June 2015. It'll be available for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS Vita, Wii U, and 3DS. The game will also complement the release of the new LEGO Jurassic World building sets, which will be available in May 2015.
