Earlier in the year, Xbox Game Pass was revealed and launched. It's a Netflix-style subscription service curated by Xbox, distributing multiple games for one flat, monthly fee of $9.99. While still a new project, Xbox has stated that there will be at least five new games added each month.
ReCore: Definitive Edition launched yesterday on Xbox One. The original, as well as the Definitive Edition, were part of the Play Anywhere program that allowed users to play both on PC and on Xbox One with one purchase. With the launch of the new title, PC users can now take advantage of the Xbox Game Pass. ReCore: Definitive Edition now appears on the Microsoft Store for free if the user is a Xbox Game Pass subscriber.
There haveĀ been hints of the Game Pass being planned for PC, but no official word or proof until now. Is this the start of a new step for subscription-based gaming? Are they testing the waters, or is it just a one-time thing?
ReCore: Definitive Edition is now available via Xbox Game Pass for Xbox or PC and as a standalone purchase or an update for existing ReCore owners.
