Five EverQuest Next classes revealed

When EverQuest Next launches, more than 40 class options will be available for players to mix-and-match into a customized character of their liking.

Following last week's announcement, five of the classes have been revealed: Rogue, Warrior, Tempest, Blademaster, and Wizard. It's currently unknown if any of these will be part of the initial eight starting classes. Playable races include Dwarf, Human, Ogre, Elf, Dark Elf, and Kerran.

As previously mentioned, over 40 distinct classes or professions will be available at launch with eight available right off the bat (the rest you must discover). The recently announced next-gen MMO will ditch the traditional class system, in the sense that you don't just pick one class and stick with it; instead, you combine the abilities from each class.

With over 40 classes to choose from, I can't wait to see the unique combinations players come up with. What do you think of the first five classes?
