Flick of the Dead remakes a cult favorite

Sega has officially confirmed Flick of the Dead, a remake of the fan-favorite The Typing of the Dead, for iOS.

The publisher released The Typing of the Dead first in Japanese arcades in 1999, and in the years that followed, the game made its way to North America for Dreamcast and PC. Players used their keyboards to type words fast enough to kill enemies, with higher scores awarded for better accuracy. The game was a modified version of The House of the Dead 2.

For Flick of the Dead, Sega has added 25,000 words, a boss rush, and a drill mode. Hopefully the game comes to the American iOS app store soon.
