Just in case you don't have enough movie streaming services on your Xbox 360, Flixster has now arrived. For those unfamiliar, Flixster lets you buy and rent popular movies, look up show times at local theaters, and access the latest movie reviews at Rotten Tomatoes. It also gives you access to your UltraViolet movie collection on your Xbox. And because everything is better with Kinect, the app does support gesture and voice-based navigation.
As most Xbox 360 apps tend to be, Flixster is free to download, but does require you to have an Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription. Again, the arrival of Flixster signals Microsoft's shift into more of an "entertainment hub" with the Xbox. While we're nearing the end of the Xbox 360 lifecycle, it'll be interesting to see how Microsoft continues this shift into the next generation with the Xbox 720.
