Flying Hamster HD touches down on PlayStation Vita next week

Flying Hamster — an adorable animal-themed horizontal shooter — is relaunching in high-definition on PlayStation Vita. It drops next week on June 11.

Developer Game Atelier originally released the title as a PlayStation Mini in 2010. It arrived on iOS devices one year later and has logged 1.5 million players since. The game follows the intrepid flying hamster Newton as he explores six levels to rescue his "girl" from robots, penguins, aliens, and other enemies.

The PS Vita release supports 15 Trophies, two different online leaderboards, and four control modes. It will cost $4.
