FNaF World released on Steam

And just like that, Scott Cawthon is giving us yet another entry in the universe of Five Nights at Freddy's. Unlike his previous four games, which revolved around trying to survive multiple nights against murderous animatronics, this game instead is a turn-based RPG, with over 40 characters to play as.

As is common with Scott Cawthon, and his mysterious ways of releasing games on a whim, as well as delivering a hidden storyline beneath the game's exterior, FNaF World probably has a lot of mystery tied down to it. Just take a look at this description:

With 40 playable characters, multiple endings, multiple difficulties, and a great soundtrack from artist Leon Riskin, FNaF World hits the ground running and doesn't stop. Take control of Freddy and the gang as they set out on a quest in the world beneath worlds, a world that reflects the actions and deeds of the "flipside", where things have started becoming distorted and broken. Lead your team deeper into this digital world to find the source of these glitches and monsters, and restore it to what it was designed to be- a safe haven.

But be careful, behind the curtain there may be something even more sinister pulling the strings…

That more or less confirms that this game has a darker narrative than we're seeing on the exterior. But the best part to come out of this? MatPat will undoubtedly go deep with more Game Theories. Looks like Scott Cawthon isn't done messing with MatPat's head quite yet.
