For Honor players, who call Reddit their home, are planning on boycotting the game on April 3rd, looking to push Ubisoft to detail their future plans for the game, alter the in-game Steel (currency that can be purchased with real money or earned in the game) income, and fix the matchmaking.
While For Honor players plan the blackout, Ubisoft had been quietly making moves on their end. Today, a maintenance patch released to change Steel income, reintroduce the River Fort map, reimburse players for server downtime, and more.
Despite these changes coming, the daylong boycott will continue. The bottom line is that fans want more communication from Ubisoft on what they plan to do with For Honor.
As for the reimbursement, Ubisoft is granting all players a 3-day Champion Status for the 8 hours outage on March 28th and are investigating the Faction War rewards and will correct the situation soon.
