Force Friday toy reveal gives us better look at new Star Wars: The Force Awakens character

New Star Wars: The Force Awakens toy reveals Guavian Enforcer

It's not even officially Force Friday yet, and we've already learned so much about Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For the past 18 hours, Disney and Lucasfilm have highlighted new merchandise in line with the new film, giving us new looks and insight into The Force Awakens. And this isn't even all of it. At midnight on September 4th, stores will open with all sorts of merchandise for The Force Awakens that I'm sure will provide even more juicy information.

In fact, early looks at toys on store shelves have already given us a better look at a new type of character. Over on Instagram, a user has spotted a new toy for the "Guavian Enforcer." First seen in a snippet from the San Diego Comic-Con behind-the-scenes highlight reel (2:25 mark above), the toy provides more details on this intimidating new look character.

According to the back of the box, these "security soldiers of the Guavian Gang wear high impact armor that maeks them stand out among other deadly criminals."

It's believed that the helmet of the Guavian enforcer stems from an early design for villain Kylo Ren that was ultimately abandoned for his new look. As for their role in the film, it's speculated that they are guards/gang members on the "Giant Freighter," and possibly affiliated with Maz Kanata's pirates.

Stay tuned as Force Friday surely promises new information about the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
