Forget about ever playing Monster Hunter on PlayStation Vita

Another game company is rejecting the PlayStation Vita. This isn't the first time we've heard this apology.

Capcom associate online/community specialist Yuri L. Araujo delivered the bad news on the publisher's forums, writing, "Sorry, we've got no plans for a PS Vita Monster Hunter at the moment" — which breaks the hearts of role-playing game enthusiasts everywhere.

As a small consolation, Araujo pointed out that Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, a port of the PSP game, can be played on the Vita by downloading it from the PlayStation Network.

It looks like gamers will have to settle for playing Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Nintendo 3DS (or the Wii U, for a console experience). But the high-res screen, 3G connection, and established network set-up of Sony's handheld could have provided a boon to players.
