Former Infinity Ward employee, Robert Bowling, tells fans to wait for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered to release standalone

Back in the golden age of Call of Duty, fans turned to one bright smiling face for everything Call of Duty, Robert Bowling. He was Mr. Call of Duty and was very popular among fans as he spoke back and forth with the community and would take suggestions and pass them on to the development team. The stealth clown himself (it's an inside joke for the hardcore Call of Duty fans) hasn't worked at Infinity Ward since 2012 due to the fact he was unhappy with how little the series was evolving at the time amongst other issues.

Bowling went on to found a studio called Robotoki who was developing an ambitious zombie game called Human Element. The game was eventually canned and the studio closed down. But Bowling is still very active in the industry doing a variety of things.

Upon the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered last week, many fans returned to him to tell him they won't be purchasing Modern Warfare Remastered due to shady business practices. Fans can only obtain a copy of the iconic Call of Duty game by purchasing one of Infinite Warfare's collector's editions which start at $79.99. People see Infinite Warfare as a lesser game and would rather not shell out $20 extra just to play one of their favorite shooters. Many fans are protesting the game and are holding out for a standalone release and Robert Bowling supports them.

Bowling replied to several tweets saying things like "You're doing the right thing." You can view some of his replies below.

For those who wanted to feel nostalgic and purchased the remaster, Bowling had a couple tips to offer.

We gave a really glowing review to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered praising its visuals and excellent additions to the iconic game. Our Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare review was less positive due to a mediocre multiplayer mode but we still felt it was a good game thanks to its campaign and zombies mode.
