Former Irrational Games Art Director joins Naughty Dog

Late last week we reported that two key components of Irrational Games’ upcoming blockbuster, BioShock Infinite, have departed from the developer to peruse other opportunities. One of these components was the game’s Art Director, Nate Wells, who is now joining the Miami Heat…I mean Naughty Dog, to work on The Last of Us.

Wells tweeted earlier today, “I’m taking my talents to South Beach. Wait. I mean Naughty Dog and The Last of Us. Can’t wait.” As you’re probably aware, The Last of Us is Sony’s upcoming exclusive that pits players in a post-apocalyptic world with a little girl who isn’t afraid to kill some ugly thugs.

The game was an absolute hit at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles; the addition of Nate Wells can only mean fantastic things for the Naughty Dog team who look to unleash an exclusive the size of the Uncharted franchise next year.
