Forza Horizon 3 reveals wintry first expansion just in time for the holidays

By now you know the deal. Forza Horizon 3 is superb, and probably the best racing game to release in 2016. If you've played through every event and are dying for more, here's some good news for you. Forza Horizon 3 is getting ready to drop its first major expansion, which it officially revealed today. The expansion is called Blizzard Mountain, and as you might have surmised, it's packed full of winter-themed events. And yes, there's a blizzard and a mountain (duh).

Blizzard Mountain gives players an all new campaign where the goal is to become King of the Mountain, alongside seven new cars and a new set of races that have been specially designed with winter conditions in mind. There will be 50 new events and challenges as well as an added 500 Gamerscore points for players to unlock. You can view the full list of new achievements here.

Here's a list of the new vehicles:

  • 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX
  • 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck
  • 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4
  • 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B
  • 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept
  • 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car

Forza Horizon 3's Blizzard Mountain Expansion can be purchased separately or as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass, which you can pick up on Xbox Live for $34.99. Blizzard Mountain will release next month on December 13th, 2016.
