In just one short hour, east coast-ners will be knee-deep in Aliens: Colonial Marines, and in just one month, Colonial Marines’ players will be able to fight beyond what’s packaged in the first of four DLC packs coming to the game.
According to reports, the first DLC pack will be named “Bug Hunt”, and will feature a Horde-like mode that will take your marines through three new maps, wasting away Xenos baddies all the way. No word on the cost of the add-on, but based on standard DLC procedures in other games, three maps and an all new mode likely points to a $15 price point.
The other three add-ons will be dropped periodically until August. Players can purchase the packs individually for an undetermined price, or pick up the Season Pass for $29.99 to get access to all four as soon as they're released. The Season Pass is currently available for download on Steam and will be available in game for Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE and PS3, PSN later when the game is officially available to the public.
GameZone’s review of Aliens: Colonial Marines will be set live tomorrow, Tuesday, February 12th – check back then to see if the agonizing wait has been worth it.
