Four Gears of War titles among the nine most popular Xbox One backward compatible games

There are dozens of Xbox 360 games now playable on Xbox One through the console's recently added backward compatibility program, but among the list of most popular are the four Gears of War titles.

Speaking during the Gears of War ESL finals, The Coalition's Rod Fergusson revealed that Gears of War 1-3 and Judgment are four of the nine most popular backward-compatible games.

Gears of War is one of Microsoft's flagship franchises, so its popularity on Xbox One is no surprise — especially while fans eagerly await the arrival of Gears of War 4, which was announced at E3 for a Holiday 2016 release. It also helps that everyone who bought an early copy of Gears of War Ultimate Edition also received free copies of those four games.

Xbox One's backward compatibility feature allows you to play previously owned Xbox 360 games for free on your Xbox One, with the ability to make use of the console's new features, including game DVR, screenshots, and more.
