A company named "Innova" has announced a free-to-play multiplayer shooter titled Halo Online. The game is said to take place after the events of Halo 3 and is being developed by the St. Petersburg studio, Saber Interactive under the watchful eye of 343 Industries.
It is being reported that Halo Online's release will be limited to Russian territories, regardless of the fact that Microsoft is said to be helping with the game's distribution.
Halo Online will run on a modified Halo 3 engine with graphics that should be on par with Halo 4. It will support anywhere from 4 to 16 players and is a PC exclusive. The confirmed game modes are Team Slayer and Assassination, and will feature trials and missions like "kill 30 enemies today." It has also been confirmed that vehicles, power-ups and weapons will be available on the battlefield.
Whether or not the game will expand to other regions has not been mentioned, nor how the free-to-play model will work into the game. People have been waiting for Halo to come back to the PC, but it's pretty lame that when it does finally hit the PC, it's limited to one location.
