Full House spin-off, Fuller House, coming to Netflix in 2016

It's official, folks. Fuller House, a revival series of the popular '90s sitcom Full House, is coming to Netflix. As to which I say… have mercy.

During an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show, John Stamos, perhaps better known as "Uncle" Jesse Katsopolis, confirmed the 13-episode Netflix special.

Getting into a bit of detail, Stamos clarified a one-hour special will air in 2016, followed by a 12-episode spin off show.

"It starts sort of as a reunion, and then spins off into this, uh, like a spin-off," he said, explaining the concept of the show. As the rumors suggested, Fuller House will focus on Candace Cameron Bure's character D.J. Tanner, the oldest of the three sister. The premise will closely mimic that of the original series, only now the three parents are female — D.J., her younger sister Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), and her childhood best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber) — helping raise D.J.'s three boys.

"It's sort of a reversal and we turn the house over to her," he explained. "It's a labor of love, and we've finally got it perfect."

It sounds like most of the original cast will return for at least the one-hour reunion show. When asked if Bob Saget, who played Danny Tanner in the original series, would return, Stamos replied, "He better be."

Unfortunately, the Olsen twins, who rotated as the youngest Michelle Tanner, are more of a mystery. "If we can't get the Olsen twins, we're gonna dress you up," Stamos told Kimmel.

"We're going to try to get everybody in the first hour special," the actor concluded. Check out the full confirmation below.
