Full PAX South panel schedule announced

Inaugural PAX South begins January 23rd

In just a few weeks, San Antonio, Texas, will host the inaugural PAX South. That is, the Penny Arcade Expo — one of the largest North American gaming events — which, up until this year, has been held in Seattle (PAX Prime) and Boston (PAX East). We're still a few weeks away from PAX South's big debut on January 23, 2015, but we're starting to get our first look as to what is planned.

Over the holiday break, the full PAX South panel schedule was announced, detailing some of the panels that will take place from Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25. From "Storytime with Geoff Keighley" to a Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Party Tournament, attendees can expect a wide range of panels and events to be held throughout the weekend. Below are just a few examples of the types of things you can expect to see.

Twitch Town Hall – Friday, Jan. 23 2:00pm – 3:00pm in Falcon Theatre

Join us for the third "Twitch Town Hall" where Twitch gives you the opportunity to be heard! Learn about the history of broadcaster delay and what Twitch is doing about it, share your ideas for new features/tools, and learn about new surprises that Twitch has in store for 2015. This panel is open to partners, broadcasters, fans and viewers. We'll have exclusive Twitch Swag for all attendees of the event!

Women in Geek Girl Media – Friday, Jan. 23 7:30pm – 8:30pm in Armadillo Theatre

More women are joining the male-dominated circle of geek media every day. With the recent controversies surrounding women working in these media (as well as the women creating the things we love), how do women in geek girl media handle these pressures? Why do we continue to write/blog/vlog/podcast? What does the future of women in geek media look like? In this panel, we will explore these issues and more.

Guild Wars 2: Beyond the Point of No Return – Saturday, Jan. 24 10:30am to 12:00pm in the Main Theatre

Join ArenaNet president and co-founder Mike O’Brien and Guild Wars 2 game director Colin Johanson for an exclusive sneak peek at what’s next in Guild Wars 2 and be among the first to hear how we’re setting up a new framework for how an MMO can grow its universe. The Living World was just the beginning.

Again, these are just three examples. Throughout the weekend, PAX South promises dozens of panels hosted by your favorite developers and tournaments held by some of the industry's biggest names. Most of them have yet to be detailed fully, but you can check out the full schedule of panels planned over at the PAX South website.
