Furby is invading Star Wars with The Force Awakens

Back in the late '90s an electronic robotic toy by the name of Furby burst onto the toy scene. Designed as a hamster or owl-like creature and possessed with demon-like powers, the toy came with its own unique language, but had the capability of learning English (or another region-specific language) through enough interaction with the owner.

They were all the rage when they first released, with 27 million Furby toys reportedly sold during one 12-month period. They had successfully infiltrated a good majority of America's households in what many consider to be the first real steps towards Skynet. And now they're back.

Last night, Hasbro's catalog of Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys leaked online, giving fans a sneak peek at the upcoming toys created for the highly anticipated film. Though these toys won't officially be revealed until Force Friday (September 4), the batch of images gave us a look at some of the new toys we can expect.

And one of them is a Furby designed to look like Chewbacca. It's called "Furbacca" and it speaks Wookie, hums the Star Wars theme song, and comes with an app to play virtual games. No pricing details were revealed, but you can see the image of it below.

Don't stare into its eyes for too long or blood will shoot our your eyes.
