Furry Phones and Pocket Pups: The Sims 2
Pets Goes Mobile

Adopt a puppy, teach it tricks,
feed, clean, and walk it in this original game for mobile phones.

Electronic Arts Inc.  announced
today that it has shipped The Sims™ 2 Pets for mobile phones. Players young and
old can now create adorable canine companions and use their cell phones to love,
train and play with them. The arrival of The Sims 2 Pets for mobile extends the
reach of the popular The Sims franchise, which has sold more than 85 million
units to date.

“The Sims 2 Pets for mobile is an
ideal product for the mobile consumer,” said Travis Boatman, vice president of
worldwide studios for EA Mobile. “Simple controls and an easy, pick-up-and-play
game design will satisfy both the experienced The Sims player just as much as
the casual gamer picking up a mobile game for the first time.”

In The Sims 2 Pets, players will
adopt a puppy, teach it tricks and give it food and exercise and cleaning. A
well-trained puppy will delight your Sim with surprising and amusing antics, and
a happier Sim will benefit from increased earnings and improved status. A
neglected puppy can shred papers, devour houseplants, soil the carpet, and make
your Sim’s life miserable.

“With The Sims 2 Pets, we’re
delivering the ‘awww’ factor players experience when you see a puppy and
capturing the strong ties that exist between a pet and his owner,” added
Boatman.

The Sims 2 Pets is currently
available on most wireless carriers in North America. For more information on
