This can’t be good based on what we have seen in the the past. Still, Capcom is working on some movies based on their popular Street Fighter franchise, even after the 1994 Van Damme masterpiece, Street Fighter: the Movie, and 2009’s Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. Seems that there is so much Street Fighter mythology to explore, another movie (or a few) makes sense.
At least that’s the impression set when GamerLive.TV spoke with Christian Svensson, Capcom VP of strategic planning and business development, about Capcom’s film projects.
“I think you’ll see some clever live-action stuff that will excite our fans at some point in the future, based on Street Fighter. Let’s just say that the book is not yet done on Street Fighter film and video projects,” Svensson told GamerLive.TV.
It looks like Street Fighter isn’t down for the count when it comes to live action flicks…yet.
