FUTURE UK MUSIC STARS APPEAR IN
NEW VIDEO GAME
BRITAIN’S BRIGHTEST ARTISTS
CHOOSE RACING GAME TRACKMANIA SUNRISE TO SHOW OFF THEIR TRACKS
The blisteringly fast Trackmania
Sunrise assaults all of the senses courtesy of some seriously cool tunes from
the Academy of Contemporary Music’s finest.
While PC game Trackmania Sunrise
lets gamers create their very own race tracks, some of the UK’s hottest
musicians have already laid down their own tracks for an aural and visual feast
of gaming. A unique link up between videogame developers Nadeo and The Academy
of Contemporary Music has resulted in thirteen future stars of the UK music
industry creating one of the hottest gaming soundtracks of the year.
It’s not often that a PC game gets
the chance to champion the brightest talent yet to explode onto the music scene
but gamers will be offered the chance to hear the sounds of tomorrow while
blasting around over 100 different courses in Trackmania Sunrise. The thirteen
tracks could well be a who’s who of the next decade’s chart and underground
stars.
Artists include D&B producer Dan
Money, Guilfest 2004 surprise sensation Big Wednesday who played on the main
stage supporting Blondie and The Stranglers, Silvermaker, Total Guitar
Magazine’s Unsigned Band Of The Month and the force behind Thumping Lizard
Records, and Hijera who are responsible for Southampton’s legendary Quench club
nights.
"It’s an incredible opportunity for
these talented musicians to reach such a wide audience so early in their careers
and a real treat for Trackmania Sunrise players." Says Florent Castelnerac, CEO
Nadeo "The Acadamy of Contemporary Music have been fantastic in helping us to
showcase the talents of these future stars and it only serves to show the
growing appeal of the games industry for artists from all backgrounds.
The follow up to one of last year’s
most popular racers, TrackMania Sunrise ups the ante in every department.
Graphically the game is leagues ahead of the original and with over 100 new
tracks, along with the ability to design your own courses, it’s a racing game
with plenty in its tank. Regarded by many as one of the most unique racers on
the market, TrackMania Sunrise combines the stupendous leaps and trickery of
Tony Hawks with the track building of Scalextric and the compulsive challenge of
a platform game with a retina searing turn of speed.
The Academy of Contemporary Music
provides talented musicians of the future with the some of the finest
educational facilities around and the tuition to harness and maximise their
talents. For more information go to
