Gal*Gun: Double Peace will be getting a worldwide release

Well chock this up to a jaw dropping surprise. The gaming overlords have decided to deem Gal*Gun: Double Peace worthy of a worldwide release. Back in 2011 we had an import review of Gal Gun for the Xbox 360 (which you can watch above) where we got a glimpse at just what kind of game it is. The video closes out with the statement: "But at least I can rest peacefully in the knowledge that the rest of the world is safe from this reality warping destruction." Not anymore Richard!

Inticreates took to their blog to release a statement that Gal*Gun: Double Peace received such love and support outside of Japan, that it was the final push needed to make a worldwide release happen.

While I'm unsure what the plot of Double Peace is, the premise of the original game consisted of being blasted with love arrows to the point that every girl on the planet wanted you. However, you only had room for one girl in your heart, and had to defend yourself from other girls. Blasting them in their special spots would hit them with an Ecstasy shot.

They're still searching for a publisher, though I can't imagine anyone other than either XSEED or NIS would even come close to publishing this game. Once it does though, it looks like there will be a PS4 and a Vita version available.

If you're stoked to get your hands on this game, make sure to follow the Inticreates Twitter and Facebook, as they'll be posting updates. In the meantime though, watch this hilarious Giant Bomb episode which features the hilarious Creeper Cam!
