New York might well be in for a Game of Thrones treat on March 15th as the show's dragons are reportedly coming to Union Square.
A HBO spokesperson has confirmed that the network has something in the works but refused to narrow it down for fans, however DNAinfo has suggested that dragons will actually land in Manhattan.
While the rumours of dragons showing their face next week has not been entirely confirmed by officials, a NYC Parks department spokeswoman claims that a permit has been granted for the event – meaning that an event of some sort will be on the cards, at the very least.
Surmising that HBO doesn't get itself in a Jurassic Park II, or more relevantly a King Kong-type scenario, with mythological beasts tearing the city down, the event could be a huge promotion for the highly-anticipated return of the show.
The premiere of Game of Thrones, season six, will be unveiled on April 24th and if you're interested in doing so, you can watch the new official trailer for the upcoming season by clicking here.
