Game of Thrones’ Kings Landing in Minecraft 3 years later is bigger and better

Back in 2014, a team of Minecraft players decided to take on the project of building the world of Westeros in Minecraft. In Game of Thrones, Westeros is home to thousands and a fairly huge plot of land – it contains countless towns and cities within it.

In 2015, the world was detailed to be 70% complete and today, it's unclear where the development of the worlds is at… but one thing is clear. The Kings Landing from 2014 is nothing compared to the Kings Landing in 2017.

Here's the 2014 version (click to expand):

Here's the 2017 version, equipped with over 4,000 explorable houses (click to expand):

According to the WesterosCraft site, the map is roughly 22,000 x 59,000 blocks which is about 806.51 sq km / 501.14 sq mi… around the size of Los Angeles. You can head here for all the downloads.
