The season premiere of Game of Thrones Season 7 is just over a week away, and HBO has released the titles and official descriptions for the season's first three episodes. As you can probably surmise, the descriptions are pretty brief and spoil next to nothing, but at the very least the titles can give fans something to speculate on.
Here they are:
Episode #61: “Dragonstone”
Aires: July 16
Jon (Kit Harington) organizes the defense of the North. Cersei (Lena Headey) tries to even the odds. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) comes home.
Written for television by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Jeremy Podeswa.
Episode #62: “Stormborn”
Aires: July 23
Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) receives an unexpected visitor. Jon (Kit Harington) faces a revolt. Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) plans the conquest of Westeros.
Written for television by Bryan Cogman; directed by Mark Mylod.
Episode #63: “The Queen’s Justice”
Aires: July 30
Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) holds court. Cersei (Lena Headey) returns a gift. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learns from his mistakes.
Written for television by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Mark Mylod.
What we can glean from this is that Jon Snow's defense of the North doesn't go as planned while Daenerys Targaryen finally makes landfall in Westeros. It looks like these episodes are laying the foundation for greater conflicts, which is pretty par for the course when it comes to Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones Season 7 kicks off next weekend on Sunday, July 16th on HBO.
