Game of Thrones ‘villain’ will appear in upcoming Ghostbusters reboot

A Lannister always pays his debts.

It has been confirmed that Game of Thrones star Charles Dance (aka Tywin Lannister, aka Daddy Lannister) has a role in Sony's upcoming Ghostbusters reboot.

While his role in the film is still unknown (come on, he has to be a villain, right?), news of Charles Dance's part in the film was revealed by Inverse, and later confirmed by Sony.

Given Dance's history as the cold and calculating Tywin Lannister in Game of Thrones, he seems like a perfect fit for some sort of villainous role in the new Ghosbusters film.

Although Dance is new to the film, many familiar franchise faces will be returning in the Paul Feig-directed reboot, including Sigourney Weaver, who played Dana Barrett. Joining her are the original Ghosbusters Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson, as well as iconic secretary Annie Potts.

The Ghostbusters reboot will hit theaters on July 15, 2016.
