Gameplay trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes you across the Northern Realms

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt got its first official gameplay trailer, and you guessed it, it's awesome! Wild Hunt might be a role-playing game set in a world that doesn't exist, but that doesn't mean the game isn't grounded in reality. There's a mix of fantasy elements like magic and monsters, and realistic elements like racism and religious fanaticism.

The four minute long video shows off tons of different gameplay aspects, including monster behavior and tactics change depending on the time of day and terrain, and how clearing monsters from an area will leave room for new towns to appear. Also, it looks like there are plenty of opportunities to… be passionate.

Witcher 3 is set to release on May 18th on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
