Before closing out the 2014 Xbox gamescom briefing, Microsoft's Phil Spencer had one last announcement: Xbox One will be getting pre-downloading and preloading.
Although preloading has been available on PS4 for quite some time now, it has been a highly requested feature by the Xbox community, so it's nice to see Microsoft listening.
Preloading functionality will begin with Forza Horizon 2, which is set to release on September 30 of this year. Spencer added that preloading will also be offered for other titles as well, including EA Sports FIFA 15, which is due out on September 23. No other titles were mentioned, but this is only the beginning.
