Gamescom 2016 begins tomorrow and pre-show announcements are still trickling in. As developers vie for the spotlight, new trailers (and even new games) are seemingly in abundance and Pixwerk, in tandem with publisher 11 bit studios, have announced their brand new game, Tower 57, a twin-stick shooter with a focus on co-op gameplay and a 16-bit pixelated art style.
Tower 57 is set in a dystopian dieselpunk world where Megatowers have been constructed to house the last of humanity. You play as a member of a group of "extraordinary individuals" who are setting out to infiltrate the dangerous and reclusive Tower 57.
While there is no release date currently set, Tower 57 is due to release on Xbox One, PS4, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Amiga. Yes, as in the Commodore Amiga. The game is described as "a modern take on what made Amiga games so great back in the day."
