Gamescom 2016: Check out 14 minutes of the Action-RPG, Vampyr

Vampyr is an upcoming Action-RPG where you play as Jonathan Reid, a doctor and newly integrated vampire who is just coming to terms with his new existence. Reid finds himself in quite the predicament, being torn between swearing never to do harm as a doctor and the hunger to feed just so that he can stay alive. The game is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment, the minds behind Remember Me and the award-winning Life is Strange.

In the trailer above, we watch the protagonist make his way around the world, listening in on a group of vampire hunters and interacting with the denizens of the city. Reid comes off as a very complex character who is simultaneously primal and remorseful, so at the very least, it appears that Vampyr is going to have some very strong story chops.

Vampyr was originally announced about a year ago and has gradually put out mostly teaser images for a majority of that time until its official gameplay reveal at E3 2016.
