The two latest releases for Pokémon have a lot to show at this year's Gamescom, one of them being new pocket monster Turtonator which may take the cake as one of the best names for a Pokémon ever. Whilst at first seeming more like a traditional design, Turtonator has the distinct feature of having his back turned to the player in battle.
According to its official description, this is because its shell acts as a type of camouflage when it resides on the sides of volcanoes, waiting for wild Pokémon to fall into its trap. Its weak point is its stomach, so it does everything it can to protect it. The only move Turtonator is able to learn is Shell Trap, which means that when it is struck by a physical attack, it’ll ignite its shell and cause a devastating explosion due to the layer of sulfur covering its exterior. Will you try to catch this defensive Pokémon when Sun and Moon drop November 18th?
