Gamescom 2016: Star Wars: Battlefront’s next expansion will let you to destroy the Death Star

You and the rebels will be able to destroy the Death Star in Star Wars: Battlefront's new "Battle Station" mode.

It was recently announced that the newest and final expansion for 'Star Wars: Battlefront' will feature the infamous mechanical terror, the Death Star. At this year's Gamescom, however, EA showcased a demo which featured one of the biggest developments about the new content, a "Battle Station" mode, which will allow players to fight for the first time in deep space and recreate the rebels destruction of the Death Star.

Battle Station mode is set to play across three different phases:

1) Rebel ships combat the TIE-fighters and Interceptors guarding the Star Destroyer, freeing up its weak points and destroying it.

2) Using Chewbacca and Bossk, the rebels must then deploy a ground siege of the Death Star to steal a "priority droid".

3) Join Luke Skywalker and the Red Squadron for the final flank on the Death Star and exact its destruction!

The Death Star expansion launches next month, but stay tuned for an official release date and a trailer to come.
