While the release the date has yet to be announced, GameStop Italy has revealed the price of the New Nintendo 3DS (N3DS) and New Nintendo 3DS XL for Europe. Japan has had the New Nintendo 3DS/XL since October of last year, it's about time other regions get in on the mix.
GameStop Italy is taking pre-orders for the N3DS and they revealed the prices; 169€ for the standard N3DS and 199€ for the XL model. The price for the New Nintendo 3DS is the same as the price for the previous 3DS model.
The fact that the prices are essentially interchangeable gives us hope that it will be similar in nature for North America and the like – except Brazil, Nintendo abandoned them. Last week we heard about the Ambassador Edition of the New Nintendo 3DS and its pricing through an email sent to select Club Members from Nintendo. The release date is the only let down on Italy GameStop's pre-order page, it simply offers a 'to be determined.'
