Looking to avoid another system crash, it appears Gamestop will not be taking pre-orders for the newly announced Mario Silver Edition amiibo.
A leaked email sent to Gamestop chains, explains that "because of the limited availability of this figure, we will not be taking reservations on it." Sounds more like Gamestop hasn't gotten around to upgrading its network to avoid another crash when gamers undoubtedly rush the site to pre-order the highly anticipated figure.
The leaked email also says that the new figures are "expected to sell out quickly, and we do not expect to receive any replenishments."
The new Silver Mario amiibo will be available at major retailers nationwide, starting on May 29. It'll be priced at $12.99.
