GameZone PSA: Don’t forget to grab your free legendary Pokemon, Genesect, this month

We are getting near the end of 2016, and with Pokemon Sun and Moon coming out in just over two weeks, it's worth mentioning that X/Y/Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are still worth your time. Nintendo has been giving away legendary Pokemon each month to celebrate the brand's 20 year anniversary, and November's Pokemon is the Bug/Steel type Genesect.

Genesect is currently one of the most sought after Pokemon on the Global Trade Network, but its value will likely nosedive with this new giveaway, which is being done exclusively at Gamestop.

Yes, while most of the giveaways have been via mystery gift, you will have to make your way over to your local Gamestop and ask the clerk at the desk for a card, which will have a download code on the back. Personally, I've never had a problem getting any of the cards, but it certainly helps not to procrastinate.

Genesect comes at Level 100 with the Ability, Download. Its moveset consists of Magnet Bomb, Solar Beam, Signal Beam, and its unique attack, Techno Blast. Techno Blast is cool because it can change elemental type depending upon the item (a Drive) in which it holds. Players will be able to find the various drives by talking to a character in Mauville City in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire or the Ambrette Town Fossil Lab in X/Y.

The Genesect giveaway is going on right now and will last until November 24th.
