Warner Bros. has decided to pull the trailer for Gangster Squad following the tragic events at The Dark Knight Rises screening in Aurora, Colorado last night.
A spokeswoman for Warner Bros. confirmed the studio's decision to pull the trailer because it features trench coated gunmen opening fire in a movie theater and killing audience members. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to make the connection between the actions in the trailer and the massacre that took place last night.
For those unaware, last night an armed gunman, identified as 24-year-old James Holmes, opened fire at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises killing twelve and injuring over 30 innocent movie-goers.
Reports from TheWrap say that the trailer did not play before the Aurora screening of The Dark Knight Rises. While the trailer has been pulled from theaters, it is still widely available online.
