Its been a very busy time here at
Slitherine with the announcement of Legion Arena earlier this week and today
Slitherine is pleased to announce that Gates of Troy is shipping, 2 weeks ahead
of schedule! Any gamers who pre-ordered will have their games dispatched today
and any further orders will be dispatched at the earliest opportunity next week.

Gates of Troy is a stand-alone
expansion for Spartan, the award winning strategy game. Gates of Troy does not

Update on the Stolen Masters As many
of you know the Gates of Troy masters were stolen almost 2 weeks ago. Since then
we’ve been informed by Royal Mail that 2 more of their vans were attacked the
day after the initial robbery and it clearly indicates it was just an
unfortunate incident and Gates of Troy was not directly targeted. The Gates of
Troy masters were delivered by hand to the duplicators to ensure security & the
mix up came when the proof copies were dispatched back to Slitherine by normal
mail.

Because of the mistake the
duplication plant raised Gates of Troy to the top of its production list and the
end result is that we received the finished goods back 2 weeks ahead of
schedule. By a strange twist of fate, a random robbery has ended up with Gates
of Troy out 2 weeks early. You don’t hear about games shipping early very often
in the games industry. It’s a strange old world.

Description Gates of Troy is a
stand-alone expansion for Spartan. It comes in a DVD box with beautiful full
colour printed covers & CD, plus an instruction pamphlet that describes the
additions since Spartan. It does not require Spartan to be installed, but if you
do you will be able to play all of the campaigns available in Spartan with the
new features in Troy.

Compatibility Gates of Troy will
work with any version of Spartan in any language, including UK & Germany (Just
Play), US (Graphsim), France (Sniper), Spain (Friendware), Russia (Snowball),
China (Gamebridge), Poland (Play) and Asia (Innovative).

Languages Although Gates of Troy is
currently only available in English, Troy will detect if you have a foreign
language version of Spartan installed and if you do it will use all of the
translated text from your original game & only the new text & changes made for
Troy will be in English.

Copy Protection Some people had
problems with safe disk copy protection and Spartan. Due to the problems this
caused we have changed to a much more reliable system for Gates of Troy so you
have nothing to worry about!
