Gearbox confirms Borderlands 2 ‘Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage’ DLC

It looks like Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage is a real thing. After leaked PS3 trophy data was uncovered last month, it had been speculated that the next campaign add-on for Borderlands 2 would be titled "Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage". Gearbox hadn't said anything about it, until now.

The DLC was confirmed today when Gearbox switched the name of their mock Twitter account created specifically for Borderlands 2. The company had previously been running another Twitter account for Gaige the Mechromancer, but today renamed it "Mister Torgue".

After pointing out the name switch, fans were greeted with a tweet: "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH IT’S TORGUE TIME BITCHES".

He followed up with: "THIS IS MISTREADY TO BLOW SOME SH*T UP AND SECONDLY HOW ARE THINGS"ER TORGUE COMIN AT YOU FROM PANDORA I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS FIRSTLY ARE YOU".

The account later added a picture of Torgue "throwin up the horns like a badass" as well as a trailer for the new weapons coming with the Torgue DLC. We still don't have a release date, but judging from the recent updates it can't be too far off. Gearbox has confirmed that pricing for the DLC will be the same as that of the previous Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty which was 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.
