Gears of War 3 ‘Forces of Nature’ DLC revealed

In a bit of overnight news, Spike TV's GT.TV host Geoff Keighley welcomed EPIC Games' Executive Producer Rod Fergusson to announce the next add-on for Gears of War 3.

According to Fergusson, the "Forces of Nature" map pack will be the final DLC of its kind for the shooter, possibly hinting at future story-driven DLC. As described on the show, each map is interestingly tied in with some sort of natural disaster in order to fit with the add-on's theme. Fergusson showed off 3 brand-new maps (Aftermath, Artillery, and Cove) and 2 remakes (Jacinto and Raven Down) on the show, adding that the remakes have been carefully designed for Gears of War 3.

In addition to the five maps, those who purchase the DLC will gain access to four new character models and five new weapon skins for immediate use, and two additional weapon skins that can only be unlocked through gameplay in the Forces of Nature DLC.

The Forces of Nature DLC is set to drop on the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 27, 2012. As of today, no official price has been set, though we will keep you up to date on any further details.
