Gears of War 3, So Many Me now free through Xbox Games with Gold

As today is July 16th, two of this month's Xbox Games with Gold titles are available to download for free, provided you're an Xbox LIVE Gold member.

On Xbox One, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remains free for the entire month, but joining it now is the charming puzzle-solving platformer So Many Me. In So Many Me you play as an unassuming green blob named Filo, who has the ability to control his many, in attempt to save a world threatened by an ancient, malevolent evil.

On Xbox 360, we say goodbye to Plants vs. Zombies, but in its place we get Gears of War 3, which will be available to download for free through July 31st. Released in 2011, Gears of War 3 was the final game in the epic military shooter trilogy — you know, before Microsoft announced Gears of War 4. Gears 3 puts you back into the boots of Marcus Fenix as he and his comrades must overcome near-impossible odds to secure a future for mankind from a deadly alien race.

These games will all be available through the end of July before we get a brand new slate of free games for August.
