Gears of War 4 gameplay not based off of Judgement, more details here

But Judgement still counts.

Quite a bit of information on Gears of War 4 is making its way out of the darkness and while we haven't seen much of the game – we are at least learning about it. Earlier this week we got a look at the main protagonists in Gears of War 4, now we are getting a bit of information on the overall game.

According to The Coalition's studio head Rod Fergusson, Gears of War 4's controls will not be based off of Judgement — it will be based off of Gears of War 3. Fergusson didn't go on to confirm whether the game would be on PC or not, but he didn't say it wouldn't.

Here's a short recap of the details Fergusson revealed

  • Curbstomps are still in the game
  • There will be no Locust
  • The game starts  and ends in daylight
  • Gears of War Judgment does count
  • It is possibly coming to PC
  • Potentially longer than the first Gears of War on Normal difficulty

Catch the rest of the details Fergusson released on GameInformer. Gears of War 4 is set to release in Fall 2016 for the Xbox One and possibly PC.
