Towards the end of last year, it was revealed that Universal Studios was working on a film based on Gears of War. At the time, there were little details – like whether it would be following the story of the original games or a spin-off based in the same universe.
While we still don't know a majority of the details around the film, we do know one thing! The writer behind Avatar 2, Shane Salerno, is writing the script for the Gears of War film. In addition to that, The Batman's producer, Dylan Clark, has signed on to the project as well.
Shane Salerno's writing credits aren't limited to Avatar 2, it also includes Armageddon, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, and all of the upcoming Avatar sequels.
With the Gears of War film being assigned a writer, we should see details on the film in the coming months!
