Gears of War: Ultimate Edition spotted

Despite what developers at Black Tusk Studio continue to say, rumors and speculation surrounding a Gears of War remaster for Xbox One continue. And for good reason too.

A new listing for something called Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has popped up on the Brazilian Advisory Rating Board. While no platform is listed, I think it's safe to assume it'll be for the Xbox One.

We already know a new Gears of War is in the works for Xbox One, but Black Tusk has refused to acknowledge a Gears of War remaster for Microsoft's new system. Earlier this year, the studio shot down rumors for the Marcus Fenix Collection — which presumably would've bundled the first three Gears games in HD on the Xbox One — but maintained that new Gears projects are in the pipeline.

Perhaps Gears of War: Ultimate Edition was what they were referring to. And maybe it is still some sort of remaster for Xbox One, but I doubt we'll hear anything official until E3 in June. With E3 right around the corner, more leaks of this kind should be expected over the next few weeks. We'll do our best to make sense of it all.
