Phosphor Games' Gemini: Heroes Reborn has been delayed and will no longer have a simultaneous release on all platforms. Originally scheduled to launch this past Tuesday, January 12th on Xbox/Steam, with other consoles scheduled for the 19th, the game was surprisingly absent from the marketplace.
Today, Phosphor Games announced the new release date is January 19th on both Xbox One and Steam, while other consoles will need to wait until early February.
The game uses a first-person perspective with a new character Cassandra, who is not featured in any of the shows before hand. She must use her powers to navigate and figure out what is going in the new enemy facility. Tied into the Heroes: Reborn television show, the series' creator Tim Kring stated:
"Gemini: Heroes Reborn is actually an original story that shows a darker part of the Heroes Reborn universe unseen on the television series. We designed it to be a true gamer’s game that requires players to read and react to hostile situations quickly and effectively. The ability to combine or ‘stack’ multiple super powers provides a gameplay experience unlike any game yet and we are eager to see some of the creative solutions players come up with to get through the game.”
No explanation was given for the delay, but we reached out to both Phosphor and Imperative Entertainment for clarification.
