2017 is upon us and that means more DC movies, comics, and TV shows! CCO of DC Comics Geoff Johns took to Twitter today to tease a number of things including the return of Alan Moore's popular graphic novel characters, the Watchmen.
Last year, in DC's Rebirth comic series there was a nod to the Watchmen that suggested they're much bigger beings than we previously thought. Without going too much into detail, it's a pretty big deal that DC has been teasing throughout all of 2016. Geoff Johns tweeted out this morning he'll be returning to write comics and teased that he may be writing a new Watchmen comic or will at least resolve the mystery in the Rebirth storyline.
And 1) Writing comics again… stay tuned! Happy New Year!!! pic.twitter.com/zUvs4NIXhM

Johns also tweeted out that there will be brand new DC TV shows coming later this year, one of which will be announced very soon. We know there's a Krypton spin-off show coming that will show life on Superman's home planet prior to its demise but it's unclear what else could be coming down the pipeline.
5) More #DCTV @CW_TheFlash @CW_Arrow @Gotham @TheCW_Legends @LuciferonFOX @TheCWSupergirl and many more! One which will be announced soon…
