Germany’s Mats Hummels gets FIFA 17 Christmas present

Mats Hummels has been granted a gift from EA Sports this Christmas, as his FIFA 17 Ultimate Team card has been given a significant stats boost.

The EURO 2016 star recently took to Twitter, challenging the game developer on their decision to hand his standard card's pace a 64 rating, and cheekily requested an increase for next year.

But, little did he know EA would bring forward his request. Check it out:

This new special edition FUT card boasts an impressive 98 in defending, 96 physical stats and pace that will allow the German defender to catch even the quickest of attackers – weighing in at 85.

The improved version of Mats Hummels will only be available to him, though. Which, for many gamers looking to qualify for the Weekend League, might be a good thing.

We don't fancy coming up against this fella every week.
