Get a new look at the Star Wars Disneyland expansion

When Disney acquired Star Wars, they mentioned that they would go beyond just films and other traditional media. A few years ago, they revealed their plans to expand on their massively popular amusement park located in California. The park expansion is going to be about 14 acres and will replicate a planet in the Star Wars universe will all sorts of iconic Star Wars themed attractions.

Disney is known for making employees immerse themselves in the fantasy worlds they work in, for example employees that dress like Toy Story characters will drop to the floor if you yell "Human!" or "Andy is coming!".  So it should be no surprise that the Star Wars attraction will be no exception to this, employees will be dressed as aliens, robots, bounty hunters, and other Star Wars themed people who speak Star Wars lingo and make you feel as if you're truly in the world of Star Wars.

It's going to bring even more of the Star Wars story to life with an entirely new planet on the outer rim, a frontier town that's one of the last stops before wild space," Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts said.  "It will be full of characters both familiar and not-so-familiar. Everything will be in story from the food to the entertainment to the attractions."

I hope this means we can visit the Mos Eisley cantina while the iconic music plays while looking at all the beautiful character designs and enjoying Star Wars themed food and drinks. As someone who has never visited Disneyland, this entices me even more to go when the attraction opens.

"You'll have the chance to truly step into this amazing galaxy and take in the iconic sights and sounds, but now for the first time ever, you'll be able to experience it with all your senses – the smells, the tastes," says head Imagineer on the project Scott Trowbridge, also speaking to the Orlando Sentinel. "Just what does blue milk, taste like anyway?"

The attraction only just began construction in April, so we will probably be waiting a few years before attendees can visit the vast universe of Star Wars!
