The next wave of amiibo is hitting store shelves in September; well, that is, if the hot little NFC figurines can even stay on the shelves. On September 11, six more amiibo will be available for purchase – just in time for the release of Super Mario Maker. The list includes:
- 30th Anniversary Mario Classic Color
- Zero Suit Samus
- Ganondorf
- Olimar
- Bowser Jr.
- Dr. Mario
And if that isn't enough, there will be a retro 3-pack arriving on September 25, featuring R.O.B., Duck Hunt, and Mr. Game & Watch. Something to note, for all the amiibo hunters out there: there is no information quite yet regarding when pre-orders will go live.
If you happened to notice that the amiibo based off of Mii fighters from Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS are missing, that's because there will be a special 3-pack releasing in November now; they were previously set to release in September.
