Get your crafting hands ready with these latest LEGO Minecraft sets

And watch us recreate one of them in Minecraft

Minecraft is easily one of the biggest indie success stories ever told. Even when it released, it was touted as the video game version of LEGO sets. So naturally, it makes sense that Minecraft eventually became a part of LEGO.

There are a bunch of new LEGO Minecraft sets this holiday season. From your very first abode in the First Night set, to the climactic finale against the Ender Dragon, LEGO has a set for pretty much any occasion. Let's take a look at what's available, and what should be on your wishlist this holiday season.

The Cave set

Minecraft The Cave

Minecraft is about exploration, survival, mining and crafting. Most Minecraft veterans know that the spot with the most abundant amount of materials can be found in the myriad of caves hidden underneath the land.

This LEGO set recreates what you're bound to find in some of the caves beneath the ground. Everything from baddies like Spiders and Zombies, as well as deadly environments like lava. Of course it's all worth it when you find a chest with a bunch of goodies inside.

The Farm set

Minecraft The Farm

Of course, there are also players that want to take a break from mining, and instead focus on growing crops and raising animals. How is this done? First you'll need to build some fencing and then draw animals toward it by enticing them with food. For crops, you'll need to hoe the land and plant seeds and make sure that they have enough moisture to grow.

The LEGO set gives you the best of both worlds with a spot for animals as well as crops. But watch out for that skeleton!

First Night set

Minecraft First Night

Probably every Minecraft player's first memory of the game, is surviving that first deadly night. Unprotected, you'll need to chop down some wood or mine some stone and build yourself a humble abode if you want to survive the monsters that come out at night like Skeletons, Zombies, Spiders and Creepers.

This LEGO set is probably a little more lavish than most player's first homes, but it nevertheless recreates the shelter that players strive for when they're thrust into the world on their own. Just listen out for that Sssssssssssssssssssssssssss…

Also make sure to watch the video below as we recreate this home in Minecraft.

The Mine set

Minecraft The Mine

Seasoned players who explored the ins and outs of many mines know that sometimes you'll need a little bit of help getting you back and forth between your base of operations and the deep mines you singlehandedly created. Thankfully, Mine carts exist for exactly that reason.

This LEGO set recreates a rather complex mine system with a set of tracks and a Mine cart that can transport various materials back and forth between the lower section and the upper section.

The Ender Dragon set

Minecraft Ender Dragon

While it may not be apparent, Minecraft does have an ending. You see those scary Endermen walking around and building stuff? Well, turns out you'll need a bunch of their eyes. But that means you'll need to be facing them head on. Once you have all the items you need, you can travel to the End, which houses not only a bunch of Endermen, but also the Ender Dragon, the final boss of the game.

While not as elaborate as the other sets, you do get to actually build the Ender Dragon, which is amazing. Steve, your character, also gets a full upgrade to Diamond armor and sword, so he's more than ready to take on the Dragon by himself.

If you've always wanted to take your Minecraft game into the real world, these LEGO sets are the next best thing. Make sure they're on your holiday wishlist this year!
